Sphere is the most talked-about building in Las Vegas in recent years: a spherical venue designed for immersive concert residencies and films. Even people who never go inside see its glowing exterior from across the valley.

Location

Sphere is at 255 Sands Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89169, just east of the central Strip. Plan how you will get there and back, as crowds leaving at once can make transport slow. Our getting around the Strip guide covers the options.

History

The venue opened on September 29, 2023, with U2's residency. It seats 17,600 and stands 366 ft high. Its exterior LED display, the Exosphere, was the world's largest LED display when it opened.

What makes it different

Sphere's program is built around concert residencies and immersive films, designed for the shape of the room. That changes how you think about seats: in a conventional arena you mostly pick distance from the stage, but here the visuals wrap around the audience, so position affects how much of the display you take in. Read the official seat plan carefully, and see our seat maps explained guide for general advice. For a fuller account of the evening, read a night at the Sphere.

Tickets

Helios Club is an independent journal: we do not sell or resell tickets, take no bookings and are not affiliated with this venue. Buy from the venue's own box office or the official ticketing outlet it names on its website, and read buying show tickets safely before you pay.
